St Mungo Festival 2024:  The upcoming St Mungo Festival, celebrating Glasgow’s patron saint in a series of free events, talks and concerts throughout the city, takes place from 8 to 14 January 2023.

Among the events are Professor Elaine Moohan talking about the music heard in Glasgow Cathedral up to and beyond the Reformation; the ‘Opening of the Vita Kentigerni’: readings and song in praise of St Mungo at the Mitchell Library and a concert in honour of Saints Mungo, Ninian and Brigid performed by Alan Tavener with the Strathclyde University Chamber Choir.
