The Parish Priest of Gaza told his story of the heroic faith and terrible suffering of his people during an emotional visit to Glasgow, where he was welcomed by Archbishop Nolan.
Fr Gabriel Romanelli spoke to a sell-out crowd in the Royal Concert Hall before delivering a powerful homily at Mass in St Andrew’s Cathedral.
He begged those listening to do two things:
- To pray incessantly for peace
- To talk about the situation, to dialogue and to influence those in power to seek peace
- To continue to support the efforts of aid agencies like SCIAF to alleviate the suffering
